Immediate surroundings

–  Villa Gremos is situated on a pedestrian alley, at the edge of the traditional village of Koskinou. Overlooking a cliff, the villa offers a perfect place for relaxation especially during sunsets which can be enjoyed from both its courtyard and its high rise veranda.

– Along the narrow alleys of the villa’s neighborhood are colorful hoses featuring traditional facets which are very popular subjects of photography. Without doubt though, the most rewarding experience while walking around Koskinou village is meeting the villagers themselves who always seem to have the time to welcome visitors for a chat or for a cup of greek coffee, while they are eager to answer questions about anything. These are people that do not occupy themselves with new technologies and social media and are not interested in how branded one looks or how much one’s car at home might be worth. These are people that live to live and are proud to share their philosophy with the visitors.

Description of Villa Gremos (sleeps 8 + 1 + 1 persons)

This beautifully colored villa is situated at the edge of the cliff of Koskinou village. “Gremos” in Greek means “Cliff”, hence the name of the villa.

With its cozy but functional sala (living room), its open air courtyard, its high rise veranda offering a view of the cliff, its two separate bedrooms that can easily be converted (on demand) into working/office rooms, Villa Gremos offers numerous possibilities for either private or communal activities.
Enjoying a friendly chat while sitting on the steps of the main entrance of the villa with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in hand has been the favorite pass time for many of our guests.

The villa features antique furniture and handcrafted wooden structures. The traditional lime painting methods applied throughout the villa have created a healthy environment.

Main sala: A tiled roofed, cozy and very functional room with a 5.5 meters (18ft) high ceiling. Its ground level area (39m² / 420ft²) features a sitting area (which includes a 220cm (87 inch) long wooden handcrafted couch which can accommodate one sleeper), a dining area, a fire place (very popular with winter guests), a kitchen and a bathroom.
A wooden staircase that separates the sitting area with the kitchen leads to the upper part of the main sala (20m² / 215ft²) where two traditional wooden carved “pataros” (handcrafted sleeping platforms) and a bathroom are located. Each one of the pataros accommodates two sleepers and is separated with the rest of the sala by curtains for privacy.

Courtyard: (about 16m² / 172ft²) Cozy and private open space for relaxing or dining, with a sunset view overlooking the cliff.
The courtyard offers access to the main sala, to Bedroom 3, and to Bathroom 3. It features a cemented staircase that leads to the high rise veranda and in turn to Bedroom 4.

High Rise Veranda: (about 10m² / 107ft²) A wooden structure accessed by a cemented staircase which is located in the courtyard. Very popular with guests (especially during sunsets) for relaxing and taking-in the view of the cliff.
The veranda offers access to Bedroom 4.

Bedrooms 1&2: Two traditional wooden carved “pataros” (handcrafted sleeping platforms) are located at the opposite ends of the upper part of the main sala. Each one of those pataros accommodates two sleepers and is separated with the rest of the sala by curtains for privacy.
BEDROOMS 1&2 CONSIST OF TWO “PATAROS” (SPEEPING PLATFORMS) AND ARE NOT SEPARATE ROOMS. THOSE TWO SLEEPING PLATFORMS ARE LOCATED IN THE UPPER PART OF THE MAIN SALA OF THE VILA, the room where traditionally the sleeping places were constructed.

Bedroom 3: Located at ground level and accessed from the courtyard, it features a slightly risen wooden carved “pataros” (handcrafted sleeping platform) that accommodates two sleepers. This pataros can (on demand) be converted into a spacious writing desk.

Bedroom 4: Accessed from the high rise veranda, it features a slightly risen wooden carved “pataros” (handcrafted sleeping platform) that accommodates two sleepers, and a 160cm (63inch) long wooden handcrafted couch which can accommodate one more sleeper. The pataros can (on demand) be converted into a spacious writing desk.
